Customers, partners, elected representatives, employees, former employees and friends of the company – in all, nearly 180 people gathered on Wednesday 20 May 2026 to celebrate thecompletion of this project, which began in September 2025.
The evening’s programme included a tribute to SOMOCAP’s family and entrepreneurial history, with the 5 co-directors who are now running the company, a round-table discussion with the heads of SMEs and ETIs that are SOMOCAP customers and partners, speeches by elected representatives, the ribbon-cutting ceremony, a tour of our new plant and, of course, some great fun, with Basque dancing (Association Oinak Arien Taldea), a banda (KiwizzBand) and a rock band (Pacha Mama)!
This is a highly symbolic moment for SOMOCAP: a moment when Basque industry continues to invest, innovate and create jobs in the region.
