The new Somocap site at Villefranque doubles the company’s industrial capacity, creates jobs and strengthens its local roots through a committed CSR approach.
A site dedicated to composites and plastics
The Villefranque site will eventually house all technical activities relating to composites and plastics.
Rubber production will remain at the historic site, with strong synergies between the two facilities. This organisation reflects SOMOCAP’s differentiation strategy, based on thehybridisation of materials.

Developing medium-sized series as part of a CSR approach
This new industrial facility will give SOMOCAP the resources it needs to further develop its medium-volume production business, with a focus on short supply chains for both suppliers and customers. This approach is fully in line with the company’s CSR policy, which aims to reconcile performance, proximity and environmental responsibility.
35 years of expertise serving cutting-edge sectors
For over 35 years, SOMOCAP has been applying its expertise in plastics, composites and technical rubbers to demanding sectors:

A direct impact on local employment
The opening of the Villefranque site is accompanied by an active recruitment policy. With annual growth of 10% over the past 5 years, SOMOCAP plans to create 20 new jobs by 2029. These new positions will cover both production and support functions, and will strengthen the company’s foothold in the local economic fabric.
